OVO Tier Classification System
The institutional framework used to assign and govern operating tiers.
It exists to ensure that operating tiers reflect demonstrated organisational reality — not intent, ambition, or activity.
The OVO Tier Classification System governs how esports organisations are evaluated, classified, and re-assessed under fixed institutional standards.
The OVO Organisational Audit
The audit:
Assesses demonstrated organisational maturity
Applies predefined, version-locked benchmarks
Produces a single, final tier classification
The Organisational Audit is an internal evaluation mechanism used by OVO to determine tier eligibility.
Operating Tiers
Operating tiers:
Reflect current organisational reality
Establish a shared reference point across the ecosystem
Signal seriousness to stakeholders
Organisations evaluated under the OVO system are classified into operating tiers based on demonstrated readiness, structural discipline, and legitimacy.
Progression between tiers is not automatic.
It is earned through compliance with defined standards.
Tier classifications are final at the time of issuance and are not subject to discussion or interpretation.
Re-assessment Eligibility Conditions
Tier progression is governed by mandatory re-assessment eligibility conditions.
These conditions:
Are mandatory, not advisory
Must be evidenced and sustained
Do not guarantee tier advancement
Each operating tier has a fixed set of non-negotiable conditions that must be met before an organisation becomes eligible for re-evaluation.
OVO does not provide guidance, sequencing, or implementation support for meeting these conditions.
OVO does not execute organisational change.
OVO determines whether structural conditions are met.
